Hooray!

Thu Jul 2, 2009, 4:41 PM
I love the new FTP uploading feature. I have been praying for just such a feature for ages, it's really a God-send for stock accounts like mine which don't offer stock packages. I don't know about you guys but I hate those packages. I don't want to waste my time making them, or downloading them for the off chance that I MIGHT like SOMETHING in them, based off of a tiny thumbnail which doesn't actually show the image's real quality. Or wasting my space (I am paranoid about my space) downloading twenty pictures because I kind of liked just one.

But that's just me. And I may be a bit odd. In any case, THANK YOU, dA. The other new features have been neat, but this is one that is really, truly helpful!

Stock Rules

My rules are simple.

* You do not need to ask my permission to use my stock, and to be honest, if you do, I probably won't respond in a timely manner, if at all.

* Stock can be used anywhere provided credit is given. Credit should be in the image description, or on the image itself if for use offsite. Acceptable credits are to this stock account, or to Miriam Fiedel.

* Feel free to use my stock in prints. I do not require credits to be on print files, but would appreciate their being put in the description.

* Please let me know when you have used my stock. I am nosy and like to see what people have done with it.

* My stock is here to be useful. It is raw and untouched, and is not meant for use as is. I know some of you use it that way anyway and whenever I see it, it makes me cringe. That said, if you put the credits on it, I probably won't say anything.

* Regarding under-saddle pictures, you will notice that I've taken some very obvious steps to protect the rights of any people in these pictures as they have NOT given their permission to be used in your art. Don't bother asking for unaltered images.

*Finally, I reserve all rights to have my images removed from your artwork if you ignore my rules. They aren't hard, please follow them.

Yow!

It's been a little while, hasn't it? I am doing the reorganizing that I promised back in September (lol) but it's going slowly. This does include deleting some things, but mostly nothing that was very popular anyhow, and I will probably be adding some oldish but more awesome pictures from my personal supply since I seem to be doing very little in the way of photomanipulation these days anyway.

I would like to say thanks to everybody who has added me, or faved or sent me notice of using my stock. There are too many of you for me to thank individually so I hope you will accept it here. Thanks for your continued support, even in my absence :)

- Miriam

Hellooo!

I'm not dead, I've just been rather busy what with graduating, working, moving, and now trying to find a job. I'm still here though. I'll probably be running through the stock and arranging it again, because that is what I do -lol- I may even actually add the new stuff I have sitting here in my computer.

A slight upgrade of the rules but nothing major. It's mostly the same rules written in a different way and if you've followed the rules in the past, you are following them still.

Until I get around to buying another subscription I'll be posting the rules in my journal. Should I do this permanently? Maybe that would be better than the link I provided before. Well, I have time to think about it I guess.

Stock Rules

"Will you remove this saddle for me?"

Alright guys, most of you have been pretty good about the rules lately, so thanks, really. I appreciate it. For those of you who obviously haven't read the rules, since you can't be bothered to take the time to read the rules (which are not long and shouldn't take you five minutes, even), I can't be bothered responding to you, and I won't.

There will be an update in the rules shortly relative to the use of my images in prints and Traditional portfolio work. Don't panic! It's just going to address credit issues.

Stock Rules

"Will you remove this saddle for me?"

Alright guys, the rules are posted in my journal, and linked to on every deviation. You've GOT TO READ THEM! I know that it's HARD to read and comprehend several short sentences linked to one another in a numbered list, but it gets old answering the same questions over and over when the answers are RIGHT THERE. Please, read the rules, they will probably answer your question. And if they don't, THEN send me a note.

More on stock stuff, yeah, it's been a little while. Busy busy 'round here! I do have stuff to upload, and will be doing so soon.
